Vice Principal

Prof. U. C. Ahamed Kutty B.Sc.(Engg.),MTech

Born in June 1942, Prof. U C Ahamed Kutty, graduated in Civil Engineering in the year 1966 from TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, Kerala, India. He took his Masters Degree in Structural Engineering in the year 1971 from Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Surathkal. He joined TKM College of Engineering, Kollam as Lecturer in August 1966 and served the College till June 1997. During his career at TKM College of Engineering, Kollam he served the institution in positions like Lecturer, Asst Professor, Professor and Principal.

After his retirement from TKMCE, he joined MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram as Professor and Head of Civil Engineering Department .He was also professor in charge of Construction at MES College of Engineering,Kuttipuram. He also served the institute as Vice Principal and Principal. He left MESCE and joined AWH Engineering College ,Kozhikode. He served the institution as Principal for 5 years and also as Professor and Head of Civil Engineering Department. He left AWH Engineering College, Kozhikode in August 2009.

He is a Member of Institution of Engineers (India) and a Fellow of Indian Institution of Valuers. He is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education.

He has served as Member, Board of Studies in Engg, Kerala University; Member, Board of Studies in Engg. P.G, Kerala University; Member, Faculty of Engineering, Kerala University; Member, Board of Studies in Engg, Cahcut University; Member, Board of Studies in Engg. M.G. University.

During his career he also served as Warden, TKM Engg. College Hostels (15 years), Warden, MES College of Engg. Hostels (7 years). He was also a Member of TKM Engg College Governing Body.

He has to his credit many research publications and several MTech Thesis guided. He has also completed a handful of consultancy projects in the area of Structural Engineering.

Presently, Prof. U.C. Ahamed Kutty is the Vice Principal and Professor and Head of Department of Civil Engineering of MES Institute of Technology and Management, Chathannoor since 5^th October 2009.He is also the Professor in charge of Construction of MESITM
